Songs into the Air
Known for his unexpected and witty kinetic sculptures that combine found objects with personal narratives and imagined histories, artist David Lang explores the symbolic power of objects transformed by sound and motion.
Duo Versus is the pairing of two like-minded musicians (Abe McWilliams, violin, Martynas Levickis, accordion) who passionately explore the diverse repertoire possibilities for the union of the violin and the accordion. Duo Versus brings a diverse program of classical transcriptions for violin and accordion, contemporary works, improvisation, music of south America, and their own arrangements of Lithuanian folk songs.
