UNH CONCERT CHOIR, William Kempster conducting UNH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, David Upham conducting The Concert Choir will be performing Zoltan Kodaly's Missa Brevis. The Symphony Orchestra portion of the program will feature works by Lutoslawski and Tchaikovsky. Witold Lutoslawski was a Polish composer of the 20th century. His composition Little Suite for Orchestra is the composer's unique take on a series of Polish folk dances. Similarly, Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 in C minor has earned the nickname, "Little Russian", for its use of three Ukrainian folk melodies.

Songs into the Air
Known for his unexpected and witty kinetic sculptures that combine found objects with personal narratives and imagined histories, artist David Lang explores the symbolic power of objects transformed by sound and motion.
Duo Versus is the pairing of two like-minded musicians (Abe McWilliams, violin, Martynas Levickis, accordion) who passionately explore the diverse repertoire possibilities for the union of the violin and the accordion. Duo Versus brings a diverse program of classical transcriptions for violin and accordion, contemporary works, improvisation, music of south America, and their own arrangements of Lithuanian folk songs.
