One of the world's leading string quartets, the St. Petersburg was founded in 1985 as the Leningrad Quartet. The Grammy nominated quartet blazed a trail through international chamber music competitions. Tao Lin joins them to form a piano quintet.
The John. C. Edwards Undergraduate Prize Plays are awarded to undergraduate students whose original works will be produced and performed in the final slot of our main stage season. This award is made possible through the generosity of Mike O'Malley '88, a former student of Professor Edwards. Mr. O'Malley and Professor Edwards will also sit on the play selection committee to help choose the winning works.
Eugenia Moliner has been acclaimed as a "brilliant young musician" by the British Flute Society magazine. She has performed with the principal and co-principal musicians of the Chicago Symphony and Rotterdam Philharmonic orchestras, and has been featured on radio and television programs in Europe, Asia and the USA. Her discography includes six CD's.
Prizewinner in twenty-four international competitions, Denis Azabagic has been described as a "virtuoso with flawless technique" by Soundboard Magazine. He has appeared as soloist with orchestras such as the Chicago and Madrid Symphonies, among many others. His discography includes nine CDs, two DVDs and a manual.
