College of Liberal Arts students have dozens of opportunities to get involved beyond the classroom. Many of our students are also involved in university-wide cultural student organizations.

Anthropology Club invites you to be a part of our exploration through a wide range of disciplines within the study of anthropology. Weekly meetings hold exciting information on recent news, games, and event planning throughout the semester.

This journal provides a venue for UNH students to publish and share their work with the university community and the general public. As a discipline, anthropology has numerous subfields, including archaeology, medical anthropology, applied anthropology, socio-cultural anthropology, visual anthropology, and socio-linguistics, among others. We encourage submissions from all subfields, but will also consider interdisciplinary work.

Epsilon Upsilon is the UNH chapter of Eta Sigma Phi, an honorary collegiate society for students of Latin and/or Greek. Members are elected by local chapters which have been chartered by the society. Visit the national website, Eta Sigma Phi.

CAMRA (collective for advancing multimodal research arts) is an interdisciplinary collective of faculty and students in the Department of Communication committed to participatory, experimental media-making as a mode of academic research.

Lambda Pi Eta

Teachers of Tomorrow is a pre-professional networking organization for students interested in pursuing careers in education. Anyone, from a student teacher completing an internship to a student who simply has an interest in teaching, is welcome. Members work closely with the UNH Education Department to create an inviting and inclusive community.

Seacoast Reads places UNH undergraduate volunteers into local schools, libraries, and after-school programs to help elementary and middle school students improve their reading and writing skills through one-on-one support.

Aegis is UNH's Undergraduate Literary and Art magazine that showcases a variety of student poetry, short fiction, and black and white artwork.  The publication is comprised entirely of talented undergraduate work.

Scriptor is the University of New Hampshire's first undergraduate genre fiction journal. Scriptor publishes well-written and diverse fiction stories. Scriptor provides a creative outlet and publication for the UNH community and its writers.

The New Hampshire is UNH's only student-run newspaper. New issues are distributed throughout UNH and the Seacoast area every Thursday of the academic year. It is TNH's mission to provide comprehensive coverage of the UNH community. All of TNH's editors, writers, photographers, advertising assistants, managers and delivery drivers are UNH students. Those who combine a passion for journalism with a creative mindset will thrive at The New Hampshire.

Wildcat Wordsmiths provides a writing community on campus with the intent of promoting creativity among fellow student writers. We foster a positive environment in which writers can discuss their work and get creative feedback from peers, as well as provide a scheduled time in which to work on writing projects.

The French Club fosters interest in French and francophone culture, by inviting university members to participate in french culture and language themed activities. The primary focus of the club is on French cultural differences, arts, film, cuisine, holidays, and traditions.

The Student Association of Geographers (SAG) is a UNH student organization that aims to nurture a community of student geographers within UNH by providing a place for interaction and active outreach to the larger geography community. It seeks to engage and encourage students in an ongoing conversation about the diverse field of geography, ultimately fostering student involvement and enriching students' UNH geography experience.

Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society at the University of New Hampshire, is an international scholastic organization dedicated to promoting historical study on the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Gamma Kappa Alpha Italian Honor Society is an association dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in the study and mastery of Italian language, literature, and culture. Membership is conferred solely on the basis of performance and merit.

The UNH Justice Studies program administers a chapter, Delta Zeta, of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, called Alpha Phi Sigma. Mock trials are carefully designed learning "games" that recreate the procedures, dynamics and drama of civil or criminal court trials. The UNH Mock Trial Program provides a rewarding opportunity for students interested in the law, or those that want to put their theatrical or debating talents to the test in intercollegiate competition.

Global Humanities Undergraduate Research Lab (GHURL) at UNH is a site where undergraduates and faculty together can engage with each other, with external resources, and potentially with technology, to address the grand challenges and pressing questions of our time, and to discover novel ways of understanding and explaining the world. The lab is the ideal site for teaching Humanities research methodologies, fostering collaboration between faculty and undergraduate students, and engaging members of the public.

Linguistics Club is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in languages, linguistics and other related areas.

The Neuroscience & Behavior Club exists to unite students and faculty across disciplines who share a common interest in neuroscience and related behavior. Through this collaboration, the club seeks to discuss current topics in neuroscience, empower others by sharing and spreading knowledge on the topic of the brain, with a special emphasis on its dysfunction, and promote further interest and research efforts towards understanding the brain through outreach activities, advocacy, and fundraisers.

Nu Rho Psi is UNH's professional neuroscience honors society, dedicated to spreading knowledge and keeping up to date with what is happening within the field of neuroscience. The society holds outreach events and connects students with research opportunities on campus. Open to all students.

Phi Beta Kappa is a national honor society that recognizes outstanding achievement in the liberal arts and sciences and fosters a community dedicated to the pursuit of intellectual inquiry and integrity. Members include UNH and UNH Manchester faculty, staff, and administrators as well as students elected during their junior or senior year.

Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States. At present, there are 621 Pi Sigma Alpha chapters on campuses across the country. Pi Sigma Alpha is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. UNH has an active Pi Sigma Alpha chapter.

UNH is home to an award winning Model United Nations team! Model UN is a multidisciplinary organization that attracts students from diverse majors ranging from biology, engineering, international affairs and political science.

The UNH Pre-Law Society was established to provide students with the information to have the strongest law school application possible, to provide them with information that will assist in making the decision of whether to go to law school, and to connect students with others with similar interest and with professionals knowledgeable in the many areas of the law.

Psychology Club members have the unique opportunity to engage in conferences, UNH events, and fundraisers put on by the clubs themselves, in an effort to gain a better knowledge of not only psychology, but the psychology major specifically, here at UNH. While working closely with UNH faculty, fellow members, and visitors from the psychology field outside of the University, Psychology Club is a great way to receive insight on what the world of Psychology is really all about.

All Sociology students are encouraged to submit work to the undergraduate journal of sociology research, Perspectives. Research projects from the Methods course or papers written for other sociology courses are equally appropriate.

The UNH Theatre and Dance Department offers a wide variety of performance opportunities. All UNH students are welcome to audition.

The Mask and Dagger Society (Mask & Dagger) is the University of New Hampshire's only student-run traditional theatre organization.  Mask and Dagger produces, directs, designs, casts, and builds professional quality work of theatrical art, and provides all UNH undergraduates and members of the University community with the opportunity to participate in the production of these works.  Through its endeavors, Mask and Dagger fosters the idea that theatre is a gift, and it is the goal of Mask and Dagger to give this gift to the University community.

WildActs is UNH's only social justice theatre troupe. They use the art of theatre to promote social change and spread awareness of prevalent social justice issues in the community. They create theatrical pieces using all mediums. Their largest production is the First-Year Student Orientation Performance ("The Wild Year Ahead"), in which they address several topics related to college life.
