Developing an Understanding of Principals' Perceptions of Effective First Year Teachers as Related to the New Hampshire Teacher Candidate Assessment of Performance
Now in its fifth year of implementation, the New Hampshire Teacher Candidate Assessment of Performance is both responding to and helping to shape the national discourse of how education programs prepare teachers. This project seeks to extend our knowledge of opportunities and limitations of the TCAP by including the voices of principals. In particular, this study, still in its preliminary stages, reporst on the perspectives of school administrators about effective practices of first year teachers. This presentation will also include a discussion of next steps.
