The University is in the top 20% nationwide in research funding. Faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts produce $8 million in sponsored research annually. They write books and articles in top journals. Our award-winning faculty include Guggenheim Scholars, Carnegie Fellows, Fulbright Scholars and some of the most influential scholars, creative artists and scientists in their fields. College faculty have been named among the world's most highly cited researchers, an indicator of their fundamental contributions to knowledge.

The College of Liberal Arts at UNH takes great pride both in our commitment to teaching and in our devotion to scholarly research.

Our research centers include the nationally-recognized Crimes Against Children Research Center and Family Research Lab, which address aspects of child and family violence. Our Center for the Humanities fosters excellence in the humanities. The UNH Survey Center is a full-scale academic survey research center. College faculty run Prevention Innovations Research Center, which addresses relationship violence and prevention.

The college's Global Racial and Social Inequality Lab supports informed scholarship and learning in an environment of inclusivity, grounded in the belief that socially responsible and constructive teaching and learning must be based in equally responsible and socially informed scholarship.

To advance and celebrate artistry, the College houses the Museum of Art, a premier public art museum, and the Paul Creative Arts Center, which offers world-class performing arts experiences.

The College of Liberal Arts is committed to interdisciplinary research and broad collaborations are increasingly necessary to address the pressing problems of today, such as climate change, addiction, civic discourse and violence prevention.
