Haruv Student Research Award

For the 2020 Conference, the Haruv Institute provided two scholarships in memory of conference founders, Murray Straus and Gerry Hotaling.

One scholarship was awarded to a graduate student from outside the United States, and one to a graduate student from within the United States. The graduate students were chosen on the basis of the abstract submitted for their paper presented at the conference.

The purpose of the research award was to give student recipients the opportunity to present their work at the July 2020 conference in Portsmouth, N.H.

The scholarships covered travel expenses (up to $1,000), three hotel nights, and conference registration.

To apply, please submit:

  1. a letter of interest,

  2. a 100 word abstract of your study, and

  3. 4 to 5 pages summarizing the research you wish to present. This research can be a dissertation or any other research project.
