Overview
Sarah Bell is a senior Sociology major with a minor in Psychology. Her JROP research focused on the cognitive dissonance and resolution among LGBTQ+ Christians who must find a way to reconcile their queer identity with religious teachings and personal faith. Based on the current literature on the topic, she created an art piece that symbolically expresses the stages LGBTQ+ Christians move through during their shift from dissonance to resolution in reconciling these two core pieces of their identity.
