Grand Challenges Research Agenda Taskforce
The Grand Challenges Research Agenda Taskforce is working collaboratively with colleagues in the College of Liberal Arts at UNH to formulate a grand challenges research agenda for the liberal arts.
The grand challenges research agenda will:
- show how grand challenges work driven by other disciplines needs to include a liberal-arts perspective, and
- demonstrate that there are grand challenges for which the liberal arts should take the lead.
Both of these tasks include asking what is missing from current grand challenges discourse. What questions do we need to ask and what kinds of research do we need to do? What kinds of results and outputs should we aim for?
In addition to formulating the agenda, the goal of the taskforce is to build a team to execute that agenda, fostering transversal interdisciplinary thinking and laying the groundwork for future teaching, research and engagement.
