Arabic Class in Action | Video by Scott Ripley, UNH Communications and Public Affairs
Interested students may take Arabic language courses. While there is currently no Arabic major or minor option, courses can be used to fulfill electives, to fulfill requirements for the Middle Eastern Studies Minor (see below), or, in some cases, to fulfill the bachelor of arts foreign language proficiency requirement.
The Department offers courses in Arabic at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. See our Courses page.
Visiting and/or adjunct faculty may also teach Arabic courses.
The Middle Eastern Studies Minor
The College of Liberal Arts offers an interdisciplinary minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Arabic language coursework can count towards this minor. See the program website for more information.
