My research focuses on understanding the relationship between comprehension and metacomprehension using a variety of techniques including eye movement monitoring, memory tests, function magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and computational modeling. I examine how people make metacomprehension judgments and how comprehension processes affect metacomprehension accuracy. I am also interested in how metacognition affects learning in other areas besides comprehension, such as mathematics and skill acquisition.
