Advising and Registration

Registration and Mandatory Advising Meetings

Majors select their courses for the upcoming semester during the preregistration periods in November and April. Time & Room schedules are now available electronically along with a preregistration worksheet. Fill out the worksheet with your four primary courses, along with four alternative choices. To register, you first must obtain your registration access code (RAC) to enter the computer system. NOTE: The RAC number will only be distributed by your adviser during the mandatory advising sessions, which will be offered four or five times during the preregistration period. Once the advisers approve your course selections, they will give you your RAC number and your registration window time. Visit the Office of the Registrar for more information regarding registering for classes.

Faculty Advisors

The political science department has established an advising committee made up of three professors and the academic/student assistant. They will be responsible for advising you on your course selections and requirements for graduation. When you declare the major, one of the advisers will be assigned to you. You may call the department at (603) 862-1750 to inquire who your adviser is.
