UNH and the Global Education Industry
This team will study the socioeconomic characteristics of and major problems faced by the Chinese students as well as the perceptions of Chinese students by American students and local communities. They will explore the humanist values of listening, civic engagement, tolerance of difference, respect for diversity, and intercultural and interpersonal dialogue, all of which are essential for success in a globalized world. The main product of this research will be high-impact academic journal articles addressing important issues of global education industry, transnational migration, formation of new subjectivities, and growing Chinese presence in the world.
