What is Latin?
In the Latin minor, you’ll study Latin and the civilization, culture and mythology of the Roman world. You’ll be able to improve your fluency and your composition skills, and read in the original such classics as Lucretius, Catullus, Vergil, Horace and Ovid.
Why study Latin at UNH?
In addition to an excellent foundation in the liberal arts, the Latin minor offers a wide range of courses and opportunities. The UNH classics program is part of the consortium of universities that supports the Intercollegiate Center for the Classical Studies in Rome, and the department also manages a popular January-term course in the ancient city.
