Digital Public Humanities to "Tour"
Pick 3 Digital Public Humanities (DPH) sites or projects to examine in some depth during this block. Have the following questions in mind as you visit:
- What overall impression does the project make? What do you respond to most as a visitor to the site?
- How long did you want to stay on the site?
- Does it give you a clear idea of what it is and how to interact with it?
- Are community partners clearly indicated and integrated?
- Is there any information about the platform or how it was designed?
After looking at 3 DPH projects and answering the above questions about them, begin to think about any digital component you want to incorporate into your own project. How would you like the above questions answered in regard to your own digital materials?
