Applying

The Summer Institutes in Public Humanities, generously funded by the Mellon Foundation, ran from 2019 to 2022. We are no longer hosting the institute or accepting applications. Thanks to all the faculty, staff, students, presenters, and partners who were part of this programming. We are grateful for your participation and for the wonderful public humanities work you do!

Nominees should either already be engaged in public humanities work or have an idea for public humanities project that they will initiate after the institute, with some evidence of an ability to engage with the public and create sustained partnerships.

Please note: Faculty and graduate student applicants must be from participating institutions and must be nominated by the directors of their humanities centers or other liaisons as designated by agreement with the UNH Center for the Humanities.
