The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KC/ACTF) is an annual national competition that recognizes excellence in college theatre. UNH is a member of Region I (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont) and rotates to serve as the regional host.
Undergraduate technical assistantships are awarded each semester. The award provides funding towards the student's UNH tuition while eat the same time provides valuable hands-on experience.

Each year the Theatre & Dance Department awards over $34,000 in scholarships and awards to undergraduates. UNH undergraduate students are invited to apply for relevant theatre scholarships, annually.
An additional $20,000 is awarded in undergraduate fellowships to up to 12 Theatre and Dance students.
The Theatre & Dance Department encourages the creation of new works by sponsoring several playwriting competitions.

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program and its related international, apprentice, and other programs, has enabled hundreds of students to conduct research or work on creative projects in collaboration with faculty members.
