A one-day practice retreat for high school violinists and violists
This workshop is a concentrated deep-dive into the complicated yet crucial world of practicing! For 2021, the workshop will be held online, and will focus on four general areas: 1) addressing roadblocks or inefficiencies in individual practice habits and creating a "practice plan", 2) working on repertoire that the participants are currently studying, 3) targeting the practicing of specific techniques and mechanics of the participants' choosing, and 4) incorporating elements of performance in the form of individual demonstrations and a session of "sight-practicing."
