Internships & The English Major: ENGL 620
The English Department highly recommends pursuing an internship experience while you are at UNH if you are able to fit it into your schedule. Internships are a great way to gain work experience in your field of interest before you graduate. Most employers now expect that prospective employees will have had at least one internship experience during their academic careers.
Research Opportunities
As a major research university, UNH provides all students with the valuable opportunity to conduct research during their undergraduate years.
Study Away
London Travel Writing
A January term study abroad course in travel writing.
The College of Liberal Arts (COLA) offers a wide range of managed study abroad programs that are administered by the COLA Center for Study Abroad. These programs provide opportunities for UNH students from all colleges to engage with diverse cultures and to prepare themselves for a globally interconnected workplace while making progress towards degree requirements.
The UNH Global Education Center administers other study abroad and exchange programs and approves scores of non-UNH programs.
UNH also offers opportunities for new experiences right here in the U.S. with national exchange programs.
The College of Liberal Arts manages a program in London, England, offering English Department majors an opportunity to take literature and writing courses towards their major.
