The Communication Department Colloquium Series presents:
A Multiverse Theory of Musical Enchantment with Dr. William Cheng. Dr. William Cheng, from Dartmouth College, will give a lecture entitled “A Multiverse Theory of Musical Enchantment.” “How experimental and vulnerable modes of music appreciation can illuminate people's varied perspectives on harm, trauma, self, and forgiveness in classical music education and professions in the 21st century. Keywords: rage, grace, retributive justice, restorative justice." Dr. Cheng is the Chair and Professor of Music at Dartmouth College and the author of Music Till It Hurts (2019), Just Vibrations: The Purpose of Sounding Good (2016), and Sound Play: Video Games and the Musical Imagination (2014).
