Monday, October 07, 2024 - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tideline Public House
Our opening 2024/2025 First Monday will
feature Dante Scala, Professor of Political Science, and Tanisha
Johnson, Adjunct Professor in WGS and Co-Founder of the Black Lives Matter,
Seacoast Chapter. They will start with a short dialogue on New Hampshire’s
place in the 2024 election and the historicity of this race, then open the
conversation to all. How are humanities faculty thinking about this moment
through the lenses of both their disciplines and their own feelings as citizens
and voters?
The event will be at Tideline
Public House, which is located at 15 Newmarket Road. We will be in the
main building, upstairs in “The Crow’s Nest.” There will be appetizers and a
cash bar (beer and wine). No outside food or drink is allowed in the event
space, and please note for your post-event plans that the food trucks are not
open on Mondays. Please RSVP at humanities.center@unh.edu or
603-862-4356.

short, informal talks by faculty members, designed to give colleagues a window
into their work. We reserve time at the end for questions and
conversation.
