How Should We Protect Our Free and Fair Elections?

Wednesday, December 08, 2021 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Hamilton Smith Hall Room 130

Who has the right to vote in the United States? How can we ensure that our elections are fair? How can we better ensure that our elections represent the will of “we the people?” As voters across America cast their ballots in November 2020, many were concerned about the complexities of our elections system, including the United States’ low voter turnout (relative to other nations), outdated counting systems, inconsistent nation-wide voting procedures, and strict laws regarding voter eligibility and access. This deliberative dialogue will elevate the conversation about how to address voter apathy, how to restore Americans’ confidence in our elections, and how to improve our electoral systems so that every vote is counted and every citizen’s vote matters.
