We want to help you get funding to do the work you love! We know that aspects of the process can be both time-consuming and complex to navigate, whether you’re a first time or experienced applicant.
To continue supporting faculty in their efforts, we would like to invite you to
Demystifying the Grant Process (Workshop and Lunch)
To participate, please identify and share a Request for Proposals (RFP) with us beforehand. This RFP could be for something you want to apply for or considered applying for (it’s OK if the deadline is past).
To RSVP and share your RFP, please fill out the Microsoft Form by Friday October 25:
Two staff members from Sponsored Programs will be running the workshop with us: Karen Jensen, Director of Pre-Award Compliance, and Lisa Scigliano, Grant and Contract Administrator III. Karen and Lisa are committed to working with faculty to promote better awareness of how grants get submitted and better communication with Sponsored Programs.
RSVP and share your RFP here (by Oct 25): https://forms.office.com/r/7uxtr4iTAh
We will review submitted RFPs beforehand so that, at the workshop, you can move through designated stations and address whatever is most pressing to you, from conceptual questions about developing a narrative that fits the RFP and determining eligibility to more nuts and bolts things like paying a grad student or consultant, understanding what role your GCA and AFC play and when to get in touch with them, figuring out budgets and indirect costs, and routing a proposal through Cayuse, to name a few of the challenges people often encounter.
We hope you can join us!
