Join the College of Liberal Arts for the Lindberg Lecture, delivered by the winner of the Lindberg Award, given annually to an outstanding teacher and scholar in the College. Lawrence Prelli, professor of communication, is the 2020 winner of the Lindberg Award.
“Civil War Memorials, Counter-Memorials, and Reinventing Public Memories”
This talk will discuss three civil war memorials and the stories they exemplify, counter-memorials that enact critical challenges to those stories, and possibilities for reinventing stories of the past that resonate with the multicultural politics of the present.
