UNH's Dr. Bachrach, Professor of History, will discuss "Freedom, Property, Military Service and Political Rights in Early Medieval Germany," focusing on the rise of the so-called New Constitutional History in the interwar period, and the concomitant effort to eliminate from historical inquiry the king's free subjects in Germany.
