I am a historian of the Middle Ages with a particular interest in cultural interaction and exchange. I am fascinated by moments of encounter between different cultures, especially in the premodern world. My work focuses on the society of the crusader states and contributes to our understanding of the crusades writ large as well as Mediterranean Studies.
